How do I complete my behind-the-wheel hours?

Once you have your permit and received your Certificate of Enrollment from Aceable, enroll in a state-certified professional driving school. You’ll do 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction hours with them.

You also need to complete 50 hours of behind-the-wheel practice (10 of which must be at night) with your parents or legal guardians. You don’t need to log these 50 hours. Instead, your parent or guardian will simply fill out a Fifty Hour Affidavit and get it notarized. You’ll need to present the affidavit at the Driver Exam Station when you test for your license.

EXTREMELY HIGH SUMMER VOLUMES WITH COVID - Starting in June and expecting to continue through September, we are experiencing extremely high volumes across chats, phones and email. We have limited phone and chat support hours, and are working hard to serve every student with care. Phone wait times can be up to 30 minutes during peak times, and while we respond to every student contact that we receive, we are currently averaging 2-3 business days to respond. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. For all Coronavirus Impact Updates, please click here.
