Here’s how to create a student account if:
- You have never purchased our course
- Your parent bought the course from their account but need you to create a student account in order to link parent and student accounts
NOTE: if you purchased on our website and put down a student email, your student account was created as part of the purchase process.
- Download the app.
- Tap “Get Started”.
- Provide your name, email, and create a password.
- Select your state.
- Select your course.
- Select “I will be taking it.”
- Provide parent information. (optional)
- Create a student account.
- Check out your account!
- Link your student account to a parent account.
Step 1. Download our app on to your phone or tablet! Tap on either the App Store or Google Play Store buttons for the course you need to download it to your device. If you have already downloaded the app, move on to step 2.
Aceable Drivers Ed
Aceable Defensive Driving
Step 2. Once you’re in the app, tap on “Get Started” at the bottom.
If you are currently logged into your parent account and need to create a student account, open the menu from the top right corner (icon with three horizontal lines) and tap on “Log Out” at the bottom of the menu. Now, tap on “Get Started” at the bottom to create a student account.
Step 3. Put in your first name, the email address you are using for the account, and a password.
If you make a mistake, tap on “Back” in the upper left hand corner to go back and change what you put in or what you selected.
Step 4. Select the state that you are trying to get a license in.
Step 5. Select your course. You will not be charged any money when you select your course. This is a very important step to complete since your account will not be fully setup unless you do this (your parent will not be able to link to your student account if you do not have a course assigned to your account).
Step 6. Select “I will be taking it” to create a student account. If you select “My child will be taking it”, this creates a parent account and access to parent tools.
Step 7. This step is optional! We always want our parents to be involved in their students’ drivers ed process. After all, your parents are the one taking you to the DMV or DPS to apply for your permit and driver license. Press “Skip” in the upper right corner or “I don’t have their information” if you don’t want to do this step.
Step 8. Tap on “Buy” to create your account! Hooray!
*Disclaimer: prices in screenshots are subject to change.
Step 9. Awwww yeah, you made an account!
Note: the picture below shows how it looks for Texas Parent Taught Drivers Ed. The “License Checklist” feature only exists for this course. You can read more about how that feature works here.
If you are taking Texas Parent Taught Drivers Ed, it is NOT recommended that you start without ordering your Parent Taught Drivers Ed Program Guide for $20. It is a state requirement that you order the program guide BEFORE starting on ANY coursework. We explain how to do that here.
