Why do I have to submit an affidavit before starting the course?

In addition to verifying students’ identities, the state of Ohio also requires Aceable to verify parents’ identities. A parent’s identity is validated using their personal information.

If your parent fails validation, they are required to submit a paper affidavit form to Aceable. Unfortunately, this isn’t something Aceable can override. It’s one of those state requirements we have to follow.

Your student cannot begin working on the course until you submit the affidavit form to us. Simply email the completed notarized affidavit to support@aceable.com.

You can download a copy of the Parent Affidavit here.

We strongly discourage mailing the affidavit since it will take a lot longer for us to receive it and there is always the potential that it could get lost in the mail.

EXTREMELY HIGH SUMMER VOLUMES WITH COVID - Starting in June and expecting to continue through September, we are experiencing extremely high volumes across chats, phones and email. We have limited phone and chat support hours, and are working hard to serve every student with care. Phone wait times can be up to 30 minutes during peak times, and while we respond to every student contact that we receive, we are currently averaging 2-3 business days to respond. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. For all Coronavirus Impact Updates, please click here.
