What is a parent account?

With a parent account, you can:

  • Stay in the loop by checking your student’s progress
  • Keep track of how well your student is doing by monitoring their test scores
  • Receive emails containing your student’s certificate (Texas Parent Taught and Adult Drivers Ed ONLY)

Another thing: it is 100% free to create one!

How to Create a Parent Account

If you haven’t bought from Aceable yet and you are on the purchase/checkout page, watch this little video below. Putting in a parent email at purchase creates a parent account for you!

Click here if you have purchased already but don’t have a parent account.

If you’ve purchased for your student, but never created a parent account, watch this little animation! You’ll want to get started on this page. For step-by-step instructors, read below.

  1. Head to our sign in page and click “Create Account”.
  2. Fill out all of the information on the screen. Select the correct course that your student is taking. Make sure to change your account from “Student” to “Parent” by selecting the correct choice.
  3. Now you should your parent dashboard where it asks you to link a student.

How do I add a student to my parent account on the website?

If you initially purchased your student’s course on the web, you were given an option of  simultaneously creating a parent account and automatically linking it to your student’s account. If you did this, you can log into your parent account on the web here or in the app.

If you haven’t yet created a parent account, you can create one on the web here.

  • Enter your email address (must be different from the email address your student uses for Aceable).
  • Enter a password.
  • Enter your first name.
  • Choose your student’s course.
  • Click on the dropdown menu that says ‘Student’. Select ‘Parent’.
  • Click Create Account

Once you’ve created your account, click on “Link A Student”.

NOTE: Your student must have an account created with Aceable already for this to work.

You might get the error below if your student has not created an account with us yet. You will have the opportunity to buy for your student OR try putting in a different email.

If you have already bought for your student and they did create an account on our app, your student did not finish creating their account in the app. Your student needs to select the course they are taking and continue through until they reach a page that says “Welcome!”.

On that page, you’ll see if you’re linked to any students. If you don’t see your student, click Link A Student at the top of the screen. On the next page, you’ll enter your student’s Aceable email address and click Link Student. You are now linked to your student and can check their progress and test scores.

How do I add a student to my parent account on the app?

If you initially purchased your student’s course on the web, you were given an option of  simultaneously creating a parent account and automatically linking it to your student’s account. If you did this, you can log into your parent account on the web here or in the app.

To create a parent account on the app, download the Aceable Drivers Ed app.

The Aceable Drivers Ed app looks like this:

  • Open the app and click Get Started.
  • Enter your first name, email address, and password.
  • Select the state you live in.
  • Select the course that your student is taking.
  • Select My child will be taking it.

When you sign in, you’ll see if you’re linked to any students. If you don’t see your student, click Add Student at the left of the screen. On the next page, you’ll enter your student’s Aceable email address and click Search For Student.

You’ll be asked if you’re sure you want to link your parent account to that student account. Click Yes, That’s The One, Link It! You are now linked to your student and can check their progress and test scores.

How do I view my student's progress?

If you are logging into your parent account on the web, click on Progress on the home screen.

You’ll then see the levels (L) and chapters (C) that your student has started and completed. The points on the right are points that a student earned in a specific chapter. The points don’t count for or against a student, and they don’t affect their level tests or final exam scores – they’re just for fun!

If you are logging into your parent account in the app, tap on the left circle that tells you what level your student is on.

You’ll then see the dates that your student completed certain levels and chapters.

How do I view my student's test scores?

If you are logging into your parent account on the web, click on Test Scores on the home screen.

You’ll then see a list of the tests your student has taken and the scores they made.

If you are logging into your parent account in the app, you’ll see two circles. Tap on the circle on the right.

You’ll then see your student’s scorecard, which calculates an overall grade your student is making in the course. It displays a cumulative average of your student’s results as he answers questions throughout the level, and a graphical representation of how your student performs comparatively among levels. Aceable’s Student Scorecard gives you the all-seeing eye and really lets parents hone in on what their students have difficulties with.

Each point on the graph represents a level, and clicking the yellow marker shows a summary of Missed Questions for that specific level. You can click on the Missed Question for more detail and to see how your student answered.
