Impact Texas Teen Drivers Program

What is the Impact Texas Teen Drivers Program?

The Impact Texas Teen Drivers program (ITTD) is a free, two-hour video course provided online by the Texas DPS. Any student who has taken Texas Parent Taught Drivers Ed or Instructor Taught Drivers Ed and has received a Certificate of Completion from Aceable is required to complete ITTD no more than 90 days before their driving exam. ITTD is not optional.

You can only start working on it AFTER you have finished all 12 levels (32 hours) of your Aceable course.

ITTD is made up of eight 15-minute videos, totaling two hours. You can choose to watch all eight modules at one time or watch the modules separately at different times.

How do I get the Impact Texas Teen Drivers certificate?

When you complete ITTD, the DPS will email you a certificate. You must print out this certificate and present it at the DPS when you take your driving exam. If you are unable to receive your ITTD certificate through email, you can log into your ITTD account and access it there.

Does the ITTD Certificate expire?

Yes, it expires after 90 days. You’ll want to make sure that you can take your driving test before your ITTD certificate expires.

If you let your ITTD certificate expire, unfortunately, DPS requires that you retake ITTD in order to get a new certificate with a new issue date.

How do I get started on the Impact Texas Teen Drivers program?

If you are an Aceable student, make sure you have finished your Aceable course FIRST.

Once you’ve received your certificate from us already, you are ready to complete the Impact Texas Drivers program.

NOTE: Your login for ITTD is not the same as your Aceable login. You will create a new account on the ITTD website with your own email and password. They do not need to match what you have under Aceable.

  • Head to the ITTD website.
  • Click on “Register”.
  • You will fill out your information here.
    • Driver Education Type:
      • If you did your driving hours under Parent Taught, select “Parent Taught” and then “116 – Aceable Drivers Ed App for Mobile”
      • If you did your driving hours at a driving school, select “Commercial” and type in your school’s number. You can find school numbers here by clicking “Validate a School, Course Provider, or Instructor License” and typing in your school’s name.
  • Click “Save”.
  • Now you can get started!

How do I fix a mistake on my ITTD certificate?

The Texas DPS is responsible for this program. Aceable is unable to fix any issues regarding certificates.

You can contact them via email at ITD@dps.texas.gov or by calling 512-424-5623 during normal duty hours 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (CST) Monday through Friday.

After business hours, you can contact them at (855) 481-7070 for help.

How do I get technical support for the ITTD website?

We wish we could help you out with this, but the Impact Texas Teen Drivers Program website is not a website that is built by Aceable. The Texas DPS is responsible for this program and are the ones who setup that website. They are the most knowledgeable about how their website personally works.

You can contact them via email at ITD@dps.texas.gov or by calling 512-424-5623 during their business hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (CST) Monday through Friday.

After business hours, you can contact them at (855) 481-7070 for help.
